Teaching & Other Details
In my music theory and composition classes, I emphasize a hands-on, interactive approach. I usually teach concepts through targeted small exercises, allowing students to practice and apply what they've learned immediately. Based on their performance, I provide feedback to optimize their understanding and identify any issues. My goal is to get students as involved as possible, encouraging active participation and engagement with the material rather than just passively listening to lectures. In my composition teaching, I offer both traditional methods, such as handwriting scores, and modern approaches, including DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) sessions for electronic music or elements. This flexibility ensures that students can explore and express their creativity using various tools and techniques. This approach helps students develop a deeper understanding of music theory and composition, enabling them to express their creativity and enhance their musical skills.
