Graduate of the Military School of Music in 1967. Played with the Air Force band in Winnipeg. Play guitar, piano, clarinet and am just starting tapping guitar. Currently am a square dance caller and love performing/singing. Was the assistant director of music for Legion #5 band in Vancouver. Also Director of music for the Air Cadet Squadron in Airdrie Alberta and conducted and taught music theory. Am retired now and looking for something to fill my time that is worthwhile. I have a police check clearing me to interact with children. Developed an aural trading strategy I used to do aural training for local square dance callers via email.

I have developed several strategies to help people understand theory. Practical approach is to find something the student wants to learn and then write a simple to more complex series of exercises ending in their playing what they enjoy.
