I am an experienced guitar player that has just relocated from Halifax. I've been playing guitar for 14 years and am fluent in a wide variety of styles of playing. I enjoy teaching and pride myself in finding the best way for every individual to learn. I have some teaching experience as well as mentoring experience through volunteering in Halifax!
Music Background & Credentials
As for education, I took 6 months of guitar lessons when I was 14. From there I have been self taught a long with learning different techniques and style from friends/ fellow musicians. I am always looking to learn for new ways to learn.
Professional Experience
I have been playing in bands on and off since I was 15. I travelled Australia with two friends and we went up and down the coast for a year playing music wherever we would. I have been playing shows in Halifax for years and have already played a few gigs in Vancouver in the short time I've been here
Teaching & Other Details
I find the best way to teach is to find out how the individual learns best and tailor my explanations to fit. I also find that people tend to stick with it and practice more if they are taught songs that they already like, instead of the usual easy basic songs you'd find in lessons. I am able to figure out how to play just about any song quickly and feel it goes a long way when maintaining the interest of student. Setting modest goals and patience are things that I hold in high regard when teaching.

I am able to travel to you, and maybe it would be nice to practice in a park on a nice day from time to time.
